Our Story
In March 2021, nine buildings on Wingreen Court, near Don Mills and Lawrence were sold on a crowdfunded real estate investment platform called Addy. Our landlord, the Wingreen Court Limited Partnership has a 5 year plan to renovate all 99 apartments and relist them at market rent, then sell the properties to make a profit. Wingreen Court LP plans to displace seniors, single mothers, low-income, working class people who cannot afford to move anywhere else in Toronto during this housing crisis. We have come together to form the Wingreen Tenants Association to protect our homes from our landlord's crowdfunded renoviction strategy.
