One of Addy's three core values is "Win-Win or No Deal" yet all we see are losses. We wonder if Mike and Steve can help us make sense of this.
For over a year we have noticed that the landlord has been keeping some apartments intentionally vacant at Wingreen Court. Despite the "For Rent" banners outside, calls to rent units had been answered with "We are not renting them at this time" by Trivest Property management. The tenants wonder if the landlord could show more compassion to the long term tenants who had been renting at Wingreen Court (many of them for decades) and are now elderly with walkers, or disabled. Why not exercise this "Win-Win" motto and rent those units out to those who need them? Why not offer the renovated units to the existing tenants temporarily while their own unit is being renovated? Since the landlord is renovating the apartments "one by one" according to their legal representative Elaine Page, and there are more than 10 apartments sitting empty all this time, why not find that winning strategy? Every day we hear on the news that there is a housing crisis in Toronto, yet there have been 10 empty units vacant for over a year in this state.
If Addy truly lived up to their "Win-Win or No Deal" mantra, they would find plenty of ways here they could contribute to the greater good and "win".
Who is winning here?
All we see are losers, Addy.
This is correct, a lot of units are sitting empt, they have started renovations but are stalling so they don’t have to offer existing tenants a place to stay while their units will be renovated, this is done on purpose!!!
